The story
What problem existed, and what we built.
The problem
The existing website lived in a former developer's Webflow account, leaving the client unable to make the updates her growing brand needed.
What I built
Rebuilt the site with its own content dashboard, restored the black-and-gold identity, and brought her ventures, biography, gallery, events and booking inquiries into one connected experience.
What it had to achieve
- Restore the client's ability to manage her website
- Give her different ventures a clear place within one personal brand
- Make speaking inquiries and event discovery easy to find
The customer's experience
Visitors can start with her story, explore a venture, browse the gallery or head directly to events and booking. Each path has a clear place in the navigation.
What customers can do
- Explore her businesses and follow direct links to each brand
- Read her story and discover her community work
- Browse gallery albums and upcoming events
- Submit a speaking or collaboration inquiry
- Subscribe to event updates
The owner & staff experience
The dashboard provides controls for the content that changes: page text, ventures, gallery items, events, inquiries and subscribers.
What the business can do
- Edit page text and the brand directory from a dashboard
- Manage gallery albums and media
- Publish events and manage booking inquiries
- Manage subscribers and export the list
How it works
The system, explained without the jargon.
If a technical term is needed below, it's explained right where it appears.
Public website and private dashboard
The public pages draw on managed content, so routine updates do not require editing the page templates.
A directory of distinct brands
The main site introduces each venture and links to its own destination, keeping the personal brand connected without flattening the businesses into one.
Design decisions
The choices that shaped it — and why.
Black, gold and a signature
A large cursive name and restrained gold accents give the site a personal identity while leaving room for the brands and photography.
Content that can keep moving
Gallery albums, events and editable page text let the site evolve with the client's work.
How it was built
Development process
- 1Reviewed the requested updates and the access problem with the former site
- 2Rebuilt the public pages and content-management tools
- 3Added the biography, booking, events, gallery and subscription paths
- 4Launched the rebuild on latarshatowers.com
Where it stands
Status & outcome
Current status
Live on the client's own domain.
Outcome
The rebuilt site is live on her own domain with a dashboard for ongoing updates. No traffic or conversion gains are claimed.
